Christmas in Hawaii 2006 : It was a tropical Christmas in Hawaii. No snow, just sun & warmth (about 85 degrees w/a slight breeze.) My day started off with opening presents in "free-for-all" fashion with the in-laws. I got a nap in, started reading one of my presents then got ready for the big family dinner. I put on my drawstring pants because I knew how much food was going to be present. Then came Round 2 of opening presents with the extended family. This is what Christmas is all about!

Thanksgiving in Seattle 2006 : This year for Thanksgiving, we stayed in Seattle. Chrissy & Shawn made the trip up to make it complete. Mom put up the Christmas trees so we could have a little bit of Christmas w/our Thanksgiving since we won't be together this year (Me & Christian will be in Hawaii; Shawn & Chrissy in Denver; Mom & Dad in Seattle.) The food was fantastic: Homemade pumpkin pie by Shawn; Homemade butternut squash soup & cornbread muffins by Christian; Salad & Deviled Eggs by Chrissy & Dad; Bread stuffing & other side dishes by Mom & an organic, raised w/compassion & hormone free turkey, bought by me. I'm so glad I got to spend two holidays in one day with my family.
